Yarmouth County Ground Search and Rescue

Yarmouth The Yarmouth County Ground Search and Rescue organization is made up of volunteers who donate their time, energy and skill to search for people who have gone missing in wooded areas or along our coastlines. They often assist with community evacuations. Their base location is at 10084 Highway 3 Yarmouth (Arcadia). For more information or to inquire about volunteering, please phone (902) 742-6285.

Barrington Ground Search and Rescue

The Barrington Ground Search and Rescue team is located at 3329 Hwy #3 Barrington Passage Nova Scotia and serves all of Shelburne County. Our regular meetings are held every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7pm. We hold training sessions approximately once a month. We belong to Project Life Saver and at present support 4 clients in the county. We have approximately 40 members and welcome more. Queens Ground Search & Rescue

Queens County Ground Search and Rescue is a small rural team located in Liverpool, Queens County, Nova Scotia. New members are always welcome, and we will provide the required training to all new members to improve their skills and knowledge level. Our team conducts training sessions two to three times a month. The team also meets on the fourth Sunday of every month at our Ground Search Centre in Liverpool at 7:00 p.m. for our monthly meeting and to conduct administrative business.

Lunenburg County Ground Search and Rescue

Lunenburg County Ground Search and Rescue Team was formed in 1978 in response to several searches in the area and started to organize as a group. In 40 years the Team has advanced to a highly trained group of searchers with always one goal in mind and that is to locate that lost or missing person . We are dispatched through the RCMP or Municipal Police Services. The Team also assists REMO in disaster emergencies . We help educate the public through the Hug A Tree program on what to do if you get lost and how to get found.
