Eastern Shore Ground Search and Rescue

Eastern Shore Ground Search and Rescue is a community-based volunteer emergency response organization. Our purpose is to find and rescue lost person(s). ESGSAR's territory covers from Porter`s Lake to Mooseland and up the Meagher`s Grant Road.(Hwy.357) to Crawford`s Bridge. Our team can also provide assistance to teams outside our area when requested. ESGSAR has a training committee of professional, dedicated personnel who spend a great deal of time fine tuning and presenting training programs to our team members. All of these programs have theory and practice components. A sample of our training topics: • Safety procedures for self and team • Map and compass • GPS • Wilderness survival • Equipment And more. If you are interested in joining we encourage you to come out to any scheduled training session, or to one of the “New Member” nights held on the third Tuesday each February and August.
